Applying for one of our pets means that you automatically agree to these rules.
- You must have 3 pets or less on the account you wish to adopt from. Don't disown one of your pets for ours; that just defeats the purpose!
- You must agree to KEEP a banner in the pet look-up, linking back to DLAA. This way you give others a chance to find the pet they've always dreamed of.
- Although we don't require you write an essay to adopt a pet, please try to use proper English (absolutely no chatspeak!), keep your Neomail polite, clear, and overall just charm our socks off. If you want to impress us with your HTML skills, webpage applications are always welcome! Check out the Application Tips and Application Examples pages if you need help.
- Please don't call the pet an “it”; use the correct gender and name. Also, try to be specific concerning which pet you are trying to adopt. Some partners may have more than one pet available at a time.
- Neomail once, and once only! Some partners will only respond if you are accepted. And please don't fuss if you weren't. There are plenty other pets you can choose from.
- Transferring a neopet is only possible via an Instant Messenger (not Email or Neomail). Make sure you have the same one as the pet's owner and include your username in your application! Click here to find out where you can download them. The partner bio page will tell you which IM applications each partner uses.
- To ensure that you have read the rules, the subject of your application must be "Tic Tac Toe", or else we will delete your Neomail without even looking at it.
- You may not re-use applications when applying for various pets.
- Please do not beg for a pet. Also, do not offer to bribe us with Neopoints, items or other pets, it won't work. Not only is that against the Neopets Terms & Conditions, but all that will accomplish is getting your username added to the Hall of Shame.
- Each partner may or may not have their own set of rules that you must follow. Please read and follow these rules as well.
- All applications and transfers must be in English unless the partner has specifically stated that they are comfortable in another language.
Note: This is a non-profit Agency, we don't accept NP for pets, as it is against Neopet's Terms of Services, not to mention that bribery will get you nowhere.
Disclaimer: Once the pet is in the pound, we cannot guarantee you will get it! It is there for anyone to adopt.
